Not only was he trespassing, Beachcomber management have a letter of complaint from the Security company that this gentleman was also inviting schoolies staying in the building to his Apartment.
I went to Wikepedia and found the description of the extent of a committee members responsibilities

So the questions and actions are here:
1. Why has this member given himself powers over what his duties as a committee member
are?

3. Why does this member have a a Master Key to the building giving him access to every
Owners Apartment?

4. Why does this member believe he is above the law? The Owners of the Apartment he

down and forced to sell out and be removed from the Resort.

Beachcomber Resort Management have worked hard to bring the Resort back to a good reputable standard - that being a nice Resort for families to enjoy their holidays right in the heart of Surfers Paradise only metres from the beach.
Do any of the owners at Beachcomber see the pattern here over the last 3 years every time police, ambulance, fire are called the Apartment involved belongs to a committee member or is managed by Surfers International Realty - surely you can see it!

Golly Beachcomber is metres from the beach and your Body Corp Committee rent most of it out to Prostitutes and Drug Dealers

The Building Manager is paid by the Body Corporate and employed to do caretaking duties as instructed by the Body Corporate. The Building Manager refuses to do the job he is paid to do then all owners and the building suffer. This Building Manager needs to stop blaming the committee and instead try working with them. Perhaps this person who wrote the above should ask how many prostitutes and drug dealers does the Management rent to and employ. Stop pointing the finger.
That's right, find a committee that works well for the Resort.

The committee has NOTHING to do with who the BUILDING MANAGER lets the unit to...... the building manager is only worried about his fee !!!!!

you people need to read the Body Corporate and Community Management - Justice Dept of Qld By Laws and so does this so called building manager.....
I've stayed there as well .... he needs to do his job which is to keep the building in "Tip Top Condition" according to his CONTRACT !
Above comment is far from true you need to get a brain and get your facts right the committee re vote themselves in every year (voting is rigged by them) The BUILDING MANAGER does not have all the units in the letting pool - owners rent them privately through outside real estates and the committee members rent their units themselves

This is a strata titled building in which the OWNERS OF THE UNITS, CHOOSE WHO THEY WANT TO MANAGE FOR THEM.

The Building Manager has a contract which is rewarded in the HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS; which states among other things, that The Building Manager must keep the Common Areas in TIP TOP CONDITION ! This contract also allows letting rights IF OWNERS GIVES THEM TO HIM,TO MANAGE !
The Voluntary Committee, which has changed every year according to Archers Body Corporate Management records are restricted
in how they spend the owners Levies which are collected by Archers Body Corporpate Management who are also responsible for
insuring the BCCM ( Accomodation Module ) By Laws are adhered to.
If the building manager put the same effort into doing his job and actually being nice to owners, as he puts into blaming everyone else, he would probably get more management rights.
If the building manager actually got two independant quotes for all work as required in the By Laws, things would get done alot quicker
especially if the work was actually for the COMMON AREAS ON THE PROPERTY which the committee IS responsible for.
